The Mundus word suggests that it’s the opportunity to take the semester abroad, but not only within the Erasmus programme countries but also – the rest of the world. Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree is a part of Erasmus+ programme of European Commission. EMJMD is an international master study programme of 60, 90 or 120 ECTS credits. It is realized by a consortium of a few different universities. Your study needs to take place in at least two of the programme countries and last from 12 months to a maximum of 24 months.
The main aim of the Erasmus Mundus is to improve the quality and attractiveness of higher education in Europe. Thanks to this programme, you can gain a joint degree or multiple degrees from Universities from few parts of the world.
Students also receive a scholarship that covers participation costs like tuition fees, library and laboratory costs, insurance etc. The amount of the scholarship differs according to the duration of your study program and your nationality.

Then, you should contact the consortium offering the particular course to gain some more information. Applying for each of them links with different deadlines, between October and January.
