Alternative to excess baggage fees
Flybe excess baggage costs can significantly increase the total cost of the flight ticket. Shipping the luggage instead of carrying it around can be the best solution to avoid extra costs.
You will be able to keep the budget down and avoid the hassle of carrying your items around. To determine the final cost for shipping your luggage to your destination, use our calculator and you will be provided with a final price.

Flybe sports equipment allowance and fees
The Flybe airline company considers sports equipment as “exceptional baggage items”. Sporting goods such as bikes, surfboards, skis, archery equipment, windboards and fishing equipment are all considered exceptional items and a fee of €40 or more applies to check them in. The maximum weight permitted is 20 kilograms per individual item. It is important that the passenger contacts the airline company for more information.

Flybe musical instruments policy
According to the Flybe baggage allowance for musical instruments, the passenger can take a musical instrument on a plane for an extra fee. The price depends on the dimensions of the musical instrument. For the large musical instruments, such as cello, the passenger has to buy a seat inside the cabin where they can accommodate the instrument. Violins can also be transported in the cabin if their maximum dimensions do not exceed 100 x 35 x 100 cm.
Larger or heavier instruments can only travel in the cargo hold area, subjected to a fee payment of 40€. This payment can only be processed through the Contact Center or at the airport.
Ship your items instead
Shipping a musical instrument or shipping sports equipment instead of taking it on the plane might be the best solution for those who want to travel on a budget. Eurosender can prepare a tailored offer to accommodate your needs.
Flybe pet policy
Carriage of animals is only possible in some flights only. For air travelling purposes, only dogs, cats and rodents are considered domestic pets and the rest of the animals will be considered exotic. The customer needs to contact Flybe within 10 days before the flight and submit all documentation related to the animal, such as pet passport, anti-rabies vaccination or health card.
Alternative to airline baggage fees – Eurosender
Choosing a low-cost airline is a good option when travelling on a budget. However, the flight costs can significantly increase if you have many items that you want to take with you. The fees for extra-baggage, for oversized or overweight baggage, can add up quickly and turn a cheap flight ticket into a rather expensive one.
Eurosender provides an alternative by offering access to affordable shipping services. You will save the time that is otherwise spent at the check-in counters at the airport, avoid the hassle of carrying your luggage around and keep your travel costs low. The services are dedicated to people who go on business trips, study abroad or simply go on vacation.
Every shipment has a basic insurance coverage included in the price of the shipping while the coverage, should you so require, can also be higher. We only work with the most reputable logistics providers in Europe, so you can rest assured that your belongings are in good hands. The door-to-door shipping service gives you the convenience of travelling light without breaking the bank.
