Blue Air sports equipment fees

Blue Air baggage allowance includes various sports equipment on a flight when travelling, such as golf, skiing or water-skiing equipment. A fee of €30 per flight is applicable if the equipment does not exceed 32 kg. Bicycles are charged 25€ per flight.

Musical instruments

Blue Air baggage policy states that musical instruments can be transported either in the cabin or in the hold.

A musical instrument that is not considered dangerous because of its shape or volume can be transported as carry-on baggage; if the musical instrument exceeds the given dimensions and/or weight (55 x 40 x 25 cm and 10 kg), the passenger must pay the equivalent amount of one seat in order to ensure the transport of the instrument in the cabin

In other case, the instrument will be transported in the cargo hold area.

Blue Air pet policy

Animals can also be transported when flying with Blue Air. If they weigh up to 6 kg including the cage, the Blue Air baggage policy states they can be transported in the cabin. Medium-sized pets weighing up to 32 kg must be transported in the plane’s haul. These rules apply for all flights except those from/to Cologne, to Great Britain and from London, as no live animals may be transported.

Blue Air pet policy states that the pet the passenger wants to take on board must have a microchip implanted under the skin, a health card, a passport issued by the vet and an up-to-date rabies shot.

The fees that need to be paid per animal and per flight segment are €35 if paying online or through the call centre and €50 when booking the service at the airport.
