Yes. You can add an item to your order and choose a different type of shipment. However, please have in mind that the pallet and box will be treated as separate shipments and may even be picked up by different couriers. Under no circumstance should you stack the box onto the pallet if both items were added separately in the order form.

Can I book a pallet delivery and parcel shipping in the same order?

The cost to ship a pallet is calculated based on the route and the shipment’s size and weight (including the pallet). How much does it cost to ship a pallet? 

Placing an order for pallet delivery on our website takes only a few minutes. Follow our guide to book a pallet delivery: <ol> <li>Select the countries, choose the Pallet service and press “Continue”. If your route includes non EU countries, you will have to request an individual offer.</li> <li> Specify the dimensions, weight, content, and value of each pallet. Choose the preferred shipping option and select a pick-up date.</li> <li>Input the pick-up and delivery addresses. Provide the contact details and click “Continue” after reading and accepting the Terms and Conditions.</li> <li>Select additional insurance if needed. After reading and accepting the Terms and Conditions of the additional insurance provider, click “Continue”. </li> <li>Review your order and continue to the payment step.</li> <li>Select your preferred payment option. If you selected bank transfer, you will receive the details to make the payment via email and you will be asked to send proof of payment in pdf format so it can be registered. </li> </ol>

How to place an order to ship a pallet?

Different courier companies can be assigned to carry out your order based on your preference. Once your order and payment are confirmed, you will receive an email with the name of the courier company that will pick up your pallet. If you are a registered user, you can request to exclude certain courier service providers from transporting your shipments.

Which courier will deliver my pallet?

Packaging

Depending on the selected transport company, you may have to print the label and attach it to the shipment. For most shipments, the driver will give you proof of collection, and your shipment will receive an AWB label at the first collection terminal. Once your order is confirmed, you will receive an emal with the instructions and the label if you have to print it.

Do I need to print the label and attach it to the pallet?

When booking a pallet delivery, always make sure that you prepare the load accordingly for transport. Follow our guidelines on <a href="https://www.eurosender.com/en/packaging-materials/pallets">how to stack and prepare a pallet</a> for shipping. The pallet should be appropriately packaged and ready for collection in front of the main entrance to the building at the pick-up address on the scheduled day.

How to pack a pallet?

When booking an instant pallet delivery, the pallet should always be stackable, meaning that it should have a completely flat top, enabling another pallet to be placed on top of it to maximize space use during transport. You can send both stackable or non-stackable pallets when booking services through Eurosender: if you require shipping services for non-stackable pallets, we suggest you to ask for an individual request or book a van service instead.

Should the pallet be stackable?

Pallet collections usually take place between 8 am and 5 pm on working days (Monday to Friday). If there is a bank holiday in the pick-up country the collection will be postponed for the next available business day.

At what time will the truck collect pallet?

Usually, no. If you booked an instant pallet delivery on a route within the European Union, the pick-up cannot be on the same day as the booking. The order needs to be placed at least 2 days in advance before the selected pick-up date for the scheduling and pick-up to run smoothly. If your palletised shipment is urgent, we suggest you take a look at our Van service.

Can I book a same-day pallet collection?

Usually, booking a specific time frame for the pallet collection is possible upon paying an additional fee determined for each case by the collection terminal. If not communicated in advance, a specific time frame collection can result in the pick-up being postponed to the next available business day. If you require a collection within a specific time frame, we suggest contacting our Sales Support first as individual requests can be booked with collection on a specific time frame. You will receive a tailored offer that you can then accept or not. Please have in mind that writing a time frame for the collection under the comments section during booking will not be taken into account.

Can I book a specific time frame for the pallet collection?

Yes, when booking an instant pallet delivery on our engine, you will receive a tracking number by email that you can use the <a class="Hyperlink SCXW96529568 BCX0" href="https://www.eurosender.com/en/parcel-tracking" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">check the status of your delivery</a> at all times.

Do I get a tracking number when booking a Pallet delivery service?

No. When you book an instant pallet delivery, all pallets are considered a single shipment and are attributed to one single tracking number.

Do I get different tracking numbers when booking delivery of 2 pallets or more?

You can check the status of your pallet delivery by clicking on the tracking number you received by email. Usually, the tracking status is updated every time the pallet reaches a new terminal on its route. If you find that the status of your delivery has not been updated for more than 48h (during weekdays), please contact our customer support by email or chat.

How do I track the pallet while in transit?

The estimated transit time on most routes within the European Union is 3-8 business days from the day of the pick-up. The delivery takes place between 8 am and 5 pm on business days. For pallet deliveries in Slovenia and Croatia, you will be informed by email about the delivery date one day in advance or on the day of the delivery.

How long does it take to deliver a Pallet?

You will get the tracking number over email sent from <a href="mailto:help@eurosender.com">help@eurosender.com</a> after the order is paid and confirmed. The tracking number will be activated either 1 day before the pick-up, after the pick-up or once the shipment has left the collection terminal.

When do I get the tracking number for my pallet delivery?

There is no guarantee that the courier will call prior to the collection or delivery. The transport company may contact the sender/receiver either the day before or the morning of the pick-up/delivery day to confirm the schedule. The courier will give you a time frame over the phone. If you need any other details of the driver, you can ask for their name and the vehicle's registration plates during the phone call with the courier. We cannot guarantee that the courier will share the phone number of the driver.The phone number of the contact person in the pick-up and delivery countries must be a local phone number. If the phone numbers are not local, the pick-up and/or delivery may be postponed until a local phone number is provided.

Will the transport company call me in advance?

Restrictions

Depending on the nature of goods and the type of shipper, there may be certain shipping restrictions (you can read more in section 2.5 of the Terms and Conditions). Pallet orders with an instant quote will, in most cases, be carried in groupage transport which usually restricts items such as alcohol and other liquids, tobacco, batteries, perishables, fragile items, toxic materials and firearms for privates. If your shipment contains any of the goods listed above, consider sending a request for an <a href="https://www.eurosender.com/order/details">individual offer</a> rather than booking an instant pallet.

Are there any restricted items when booking a Pallet delivery service?

Pallet collections usually take place on any business day in the pick-up country. If you require a pick-up on a non-working day such as bank holidays or weekends, consult our Sales Support team at <a href="mailto:sales@eurosender.com">sales@eurosender.com</a> or via chat. Since the transmission of the order to the pick-up terminal can take 24-48 hours, we advise placing the order 2-3 days in advance but not more than 5 days before your desired pick-up date. During the last 2 weeks of the calendar year, freight services within the European Union are suspended due to the holiday season. The service is reactivated in the second week of January (usually around 10-12th of January). If you place an order during the last weeks of the calendar year or are planning a pick-up during the holiday season, the pick-up may be postponed. Pick-ups on a business day prior to a local holiday in the pick-up country may be postponed to the next business day. Pick-ups planned on a business day after the local holiday in the pick-up country may be postponed to the next available pick-up day.

Can I book a pallet collection on a bank holiday or weekend?

<h6>Companies shipping alcohol on pallets</h6> As a business user with a registered and authorised shop to sell and export light alcoholic beverages, you can ship alcohol on a pallet booked with an instant quote. Heavy alcoholic beverages can be shipped with authorised logistic providers. Before placing an order, we advise you to consult with our Sales Support team at <a href="mailto:sales@eurosender.com">sales@eurosender.com</a> or via chat. <h6>Individuals shipping alcohol on pallets</h6> Shipping alcohol on a pallet between individuals is not allowed in most countries. Shipping alcohol for personal use is prohibited as there is a risk of spillage or damage to other items. If individuals choose to ship alcohol they do so at their own risk. Shipments with prohibited items are excluded from the claims process in the event of damage.

Can I ship alcohol when booking a Pallet delivery service?

The shipment of arms and ammunition is strictly regulated. Only authorised businesses are allowed to ship arms and ammunition through licensed and specialised logistics providers. Shipments containing the above-mentioned items may be removed from the load or returned to the sender at their own expense. Any claim for compensation on damage and return of the shipment may be denied.

Can I ship arms and ammunition when booking a Pallet delivery service?  

<h6 aria-level="4">Companies shipping fragile items on a pallet</h6> Businesses shipping fragile items usually have pre-agreed terms with specialised courier companies that organise direct transport. This reduces damage risk because the goods are loaded and unloaded only once: at pick-up and delivery (please see our Van delivery and FTL services). Fragile items require not only special handling but also specialised packaging. Can I ship fragile items when booking a Pallet delivery service?  

<h6 aria-level="4">Companies shipping liquids on pallets</h6> Businesses producing and distributing liquids can ship these items appropriately packed and stacked on pallets. Transport can be arranged with specialised forwarders. Before placing an order for shipping liquids, we advise you to contact the Sales Support department at sales@eurosender.com or via chat. For shipping objects that might contain liquids - such as engines for vehicles, crafts and machines, you must remove or drain the liquids from the item – engine or machine. Please note that some liquids are considered as hazardous and dangerous goods. These require special attention. We invite you to read our section about shipping hazardous goods and request an individual order if you wish to ship items of this type. <h6 aria-level="4">Individuals shipping liquids on pallets</h6> Individuals are advised not to ship liquids (with their personal belongings) when shipping a pallet. If the liquids are not appropriately packed and protected, they may spill and cause damage to other items on the pallet. If this happens, any claim for damage compensation will be rejected on the grounds of prohibited items and/or inappropriate packaging.

Can I ship liquids when booking a Pallet delivery service?

<h6 aria-level="4">Companies shipping lithium batteries</h6> If you are a business producing electronic devices containing lithium batteries and your pallet shipment includes only items containing batteries, we advise you to consult with Sales Support or place an individual offer for your shipment. You may be asked to provide the production sheet and ADR sheet for the shipment upon making the booking. If the shipment contains only 1 item containing batteries, there is a restriction of no more than 2 single-cell batteries ≤20Wh or 1 multi-cell battery, containing maximum 4 cells ≤100Wh. If you ship even one item (electric bike) containing a battery, you may have to provide a production sheet specifying the battery's voltage. <h6>Individuals shipping lithium batteries</h6> Individuals may ship electronic devices containing batteries in their pallet shipment (with their personal belongings). If the shipment includes 1 item containing batteries, there is a restriction of no more than 2 single-cell batteries ≤20Wh or 1 multi-cell battery, containing maximum 4 cells ≤100Wh. <h6>Companies shipping tobacco products on pallets</h6> Businesses that have a license for producing or distributing tobacco products can ship them via authorised logistics providers. Can I ship tobacco, cigarettes and cigars when booking a Pallet delivery service?

<h6 aria-level="4">Companies shipping flammable items on a pallet</h6> Businesses producing or distributing products containing toxic, flammable or hazardous components can ship them through authorised logistics providers. Before shipping, the production and the ADR sheets must be handed to the logistics provider to understand what storage and transport conditions the goods need. If neither the production sheet nor ADR sheet is provided, the pick-up may be postponed or rejected. Can I ship toxic, flammable or hazardous products when booking a Pallet delivery service?  

When booking an instant pallet service, the following limitations apply: the maximum width of the pallet, including the load should not be more than 2m (200cm) and the maximum length should not be more than 4m (400cm). Always make sure the items do not exceed the size of the pallet. The height of the pallet with the item(s) stacked onto it must not exceed 220 cm. The weight of the pallet + cargo should not be more than 1200 kg.
