Jet2 cabin baggage

Cabin baggage, often referred to as accompanied baggage, defines the piece of luggage that passengers can place in the compartment above their seats under the seat in front of them.

Jet2 cabin baggage allowance permits the passengers to carry one piece of cabin baggage free of charge on board. The policy states that Jet2 cabin baggage should not weigh more than 10 kg and measure more than 56 cm x 45 cm x 25 cm, including all wheels and handles.

Jet2 hand luggage

Hand luggage is a small piece of baggage, such as a backpack/purse, laptop or camera bag, which can be taken onboard free of charge in addition to cabin baggage.

Jet2 hand luggage policy states that each passenger is permitted to bring an additional small item on board if such an item can be stored in the overhead compartment or under the seat in front.

Jet2 checked baggage

Every passenger has the chance to book up to 3 bags of checked baggage per flight. The cost, in this case, depends on the chosen destination as well as on the way of booking (online, via call centre or at the airport). The passengers should note that the three bags can weigh 66 kg altogether and that this amount can be split between the three pieces of luggage. However, the Jet2 baggage policy states that no single item of baggage can weigh more than 32 kg.

If the passenger decides to add any piece of baggage at the airport, the fee is £45 per item.

Jet2 excess baggage

Excess baggage defines the additional pieces of luggage a passenger can purchase or an increased weight limit of already purchased luggage.

If the passenger tries to check in a bag exceeding 22 kg, a charge of £12 per kg needs to be paid.

Jet2 sports equipment fees

Is possible to carry sports equipment in Jet2 flights, providing there’s space available on the aircraft. Items like golf clubs, scuba equipment, snowboards and surfboards have a weight restriction of 22 kg, while bicycles without motor cannot be heavier than 32 kg.

The fee for any sports equipment is fixed in £30, unless excess baggage charges apply too.

Jet2 musical instruments policy

Musical instruments are treated as normal cabin baggage if they follow the limitations imposed (this is, not heavier than 10 kg and not larger than 56 x 45 x 25 cm). Larger musical instruments, such as a guitar or cello, can be carried in the cabin as well if the passenger pays an extra seat and weigh less than 65 kg.

The rest of the musical instruments will be conveyed in the cargo hold area after a required £30 payment. Instrument + case should not be heavier than 22 kg or will incur in excess baggage fees too.
