Transavia cabin baggage
Cabin baggage, often referred to as accompanied baggage, defines the piece of luggage that passengers can place in the compartment above their seats under the seat in front of them.

Transavia excess baggage
Excess baggage defines the additional pieces of luggage a passenger can purchase or an increased weight limit of already purchased luggage.
If the passenger ends up taking more hold luggage than booked, extra hold luggage can be purchased. Transavia baggage policy states that in such case, an excess baggage fee of €15 per 5 kg needs to be paid if booked at the airport.
Transavia sport equipment fee
Transavia baggage policy enables the passengers to take your golfing equipment with on flight. It may weigh up to 15 kg for the fee of €29 per single flight. It can consist of:
- 1 golf bag holding up to 14 clubs and
- 1 pair of golf shoes
Moreover, Transavia luggage allowance enables its passengers to take winter sports equipment, which may weigh up to 15 kg, when travelling. The Transavia sport equipment fee that one needs to pay in this case is €29 per flight. The allowed sports equipment includes:
- 1 pair of skis, 1 pair of shoes, 1 pair of poles, ski helmet or
- 1 snowboard, 1 pair of shoes, ski helmet or
- 1 sled measuring no larger than 120 cm x 50 cm x 40 cm, ski helmet
The same Transavia sport equipment fee needs to be paid for diving gear or fishing equipment that may weigh up to 15 kg.
Transavia luggage allowance lets the passengers to take water sport equipment on a plane when travelling. It may weigh up to 32 kg. The passengers can bring a surf board, wave board, kite board, body board or a bike for a fee of €44 per single flight.
Transavia musical instruments fees
Musical instruments are transported in the cargo hold for a standard hold luggage rate. The passenger may also take a small musical instrument on board if it can be considered as hand luggage.
Transavia luggage allowance includes the instruments that are no larger than 25 cm x 117 cm x 38 cm and no heavier than 10 kg. They can be transported in the cabin. Examples of musical instruments that meet these requirements are a viola, violin, flute, clarinet, bugle or trumpet.
If the passenger wants to take a large musical instrument (for example a cello) on a plane, Transavia baggage policy states that an extra seat for the instrument in question needs to be booked. The maximum permitted size, including the protective cover, is 110 cm x 44 cm x 55 cm and the maximum permitted weight is 20 kg.
