In the lead-up to Christmas, Hermes (Evri) has prolonged opening hours to perform as many deliveries as possible. Collections may happen earlier than 9 am and deliveries may be performed later than 6 pm, depending on the location.
Bear in mind that on Christmas Eve, Hermes working hours are usually reduced so that their staff can also spend time with their families.
Many people wonder if Evri delivers on Christmas Eve, and the answer is yes! 24 December is not considered a public holiday in the UK. For this reason, even though it falls on a Sunday in 2023, Evri will schedule deliveries for Christmas Eve for locations and services where Sunday delivery is possible.
If Evri is not able to deliver your parcel on Christmas Eve because no one was home, you will have to wait until after the holidays. So, if you are expecting a delivery, make sure someone is present at the address to receive the parcel.
Christmas Day, 25 December, is a public holiday in the UK, Ireland, and most worldwide countries. Hermes will not perform deliveries or collections on Christmas Day 2023.

Boxing Day is celebrated in the UK and some Commonwealth countries on 26 December and is an official public holiday. Evri will not perform collections or deliveries on Boxing Day. Postal and courier services, including Evri (Hermes) will end their Christmas break and resume normal working hours on 27 December.

In general, 31 December is a working day in most countries, and couriers such as Hermes work reduced hours on New Year’s Eve, like on Christmas Eve. New Year’s Eve will fall on a Sunday in 2023, so deliveries on this day will depend on availability at your destination.
Hermes (Evri) does not deliver on New Year’s Day as it is a public holiday in the majority of locations around the world. Evri will resume normal services on 3 January 2024 in the UK.
