The rules for shipping cannabis products depend on the regulations of the countries of collection and delivery and the terms of service of the courier company selected.
Europe
Every European country has different laws regarding cannabis, so it is difficult to provide a concrete answer about cannabis shipping in Europe. There is no harmonised EU law on cannabis use. Since rules and regulations are constantly changing, you will have to check the status of cannabis for your specific route.
In the UK, cannabis is a Class B controlled drug. This means that it is illegal to send cannabis privately by mail or courier to or from the UK. Only licensed businesses can ship cannabis legally on any UK route.
USA
In the USA, marijuana is illegal at a federal level, and it cannot be shipped across state or national borders except by licensed businesses.
Canada
Canada has legalised cannabis products both for medicinal and recreational purposes. Sending cannabis by mail or courier is allowed within Canada (except for Manitoba and Quebec) as long as the shipment follows federal, provincial and municipal government regulations. However, sending cannabis privately by mail or courier across the Canadian border is not allowed.

How to pack cannabis edibles and marijuana for shipping in a package
Since these products are normally considered prohibited for shipping, packaging becomes even more important as your shipment will not be eligible for insurance. Follow these steps to pack cannabis products such as weed and marijuana for shipping:
- Keep the cannabis products in their original packaging. For extra protection, you can place them in a plastic bag or leak-proof Ziplock bag.
- Wrap the packaged goods in bubble wrap or paper.
- Fill a cardboard box with cushioning materials and place your item inside.
