How to pack a watch for shipping

- Use bubble wrap to protect the watch. If you are not using the original box, make sure you wrap the timepiece in bubble wrap. You can even place it in a clean plastic bag first and then wrap it. - Put the watch in its original packaging or the smaller of the two cardboard boxes. If you are using the original packaging, just package the watch in the way it was packed when you first took it out of the box. Make sure it is packed tightly and cannot move, then seal the box with adhesive tape.
If you, however, want to use an ordinary box, you have to fill it at least halfway with the cushioning material of your choice. Then place the watch in the middle of the box and add some more cushioning material. When the watch is completely surrounded by the cushioning, it should not be able to move. If it stays firmly in place when you shake the box, you did a good job, which means that you can seal the box. To make the content extra safe, wrap the box (the original or the ordinary one) in bubble wrap.
- Put the smaller box into the larger one. Take the larger box and cover the bottom part with cushioning material. Then place the smaller box in the middle of the larger box and add more packing peanuts, foam or polystyrene chips to prevent any movement. Shake the package again to make sure that everything is secured and nothing moves around.
- Seal and label the package. Use adhesive tape to seal all sides of the package. If needed, apply the shipping label.
