SHIPPING REGULATIONS

Regulations on shipping cell phones internationally

In most cases, it is possible to ship a cell phone internationally by courier. The only smartphone model not allowed for shipping by air is Samsung Galaxy Note 7 due to battery problems.
As of today, smartphones containing attached, non-removable lithium-ion batteries can be sent by all modes of transport, provided they comply with the parameters set forth in the UN Manual of Tests and Criteria:

Single-cell batteries: No more than 2 cells, ≤ 20Wh
Multi-cell batteries: No more than 4 cells, ≤ 100Wh

Lithium batteries exceeding the above specifications cannot be transported by air but can be carried by road or travel by sea.
When shipping your iPhones or other smartphone models, it is recommended not to charge the battery to more than 30%. The relevant transportation recommendations for every phone model can be found in the manufacturer’s product information sheet.

For items shipped outside the EU or between two non-member states, a customs declaration will be required. Do not try to lower the value of imported goods, otherwise, the package may be seized by the customs officers.
